A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain. For example, a message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from pals or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an obsolete one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be enabled for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Website Hosting

You will be able to create a catch-all e-mailbox without effort in case you have a shared website hosting account with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-laden, yet astonishingly simple to use, and it will allow you to activate different options, including the catch-all one, with just a few clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be shown in alphabetical order in this section and on the right side of each one of them you’ll notice a small "Catch-all" logo. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking it twice will disable it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will alert you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature enabled or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You will be able to configure a catch-all address with no more than one click if you have a semi-dedicated server with us and your email messages are handled by our cloud web hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain hosted in the semi-dedicated hosting account will be displayed in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel. Each of them will have a small-size "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to activate the feature will be to click on that icon. In the exact same fashion you will be able to turn off the feature, in case you do not need it anymore. Our system will warn you in case you’re trying to activate a second catch-all address for a given domain or if there is enabled email forwarding, but it will never deactivate or modify anything automatically or without your approval.
